Overview
This article outlines the procedures for terminating access when a contractor leaves the organization. Proper handling of these processes ensures that organizational data remains secure and that access to systems is managed effectively.
Contractor Offboarding
Contractors are not automatically offboarded through Day force. The responsibility for initiating the offboarding process lies with the contractor’s manager. This process involves submitting a request to the People team, who will then coordinate with IT to terminate access to all dependent and independent systems.
Steps:
-
Request Submission:
- The contractor’s manager must submit a request to the People team to terminate the contractor’s access.
- The People team will coordinate with IT to revoke access to all relevant systems, including third-party applications.
-
Ensure Access Termination:
- Confirm that access to all dependent and independent systems has been successfully revoked.
-
Prompt Action Required:
- It is crucial that managers promptly initiate the offboarding process to prevent unauthorized access after the termination of the contractor's contract.
