Here is a video to help guide you as well:
Open Display Settings:
- Hit the Windows key on your keyboard or click on the search bar on the bottom left by your Windows logo.
- Type Display settings and select it from the menu that appears.
Check Laptop Scaling:
- In the Display settings window, you will see a diagram showing your monitors.
- Click on your laptop screen to select it.
- Scroll down to the Scale and layout section.
- Look for the option that says Change the size of text, apps, and other items.
- Note the scaling percentage (e.g., 150%).
Select Other Monitors: Please note all monitors scaling must be adjusted!
- Click on the external monitor you want to adjust the scaling for.
- Scroll down to the Scale and layout section.
- Look for the option that says Change the size of text, apps, and other items.
- Click on the drop-down menu and select the same scaling percentage as your laptop (e.g., 150%). If 150% is not listed, you can click on Advanced scaling settings(> next to the box) and enter a custom scaling size.
Apply the Changes:
- The changes should apply automatically, but you might need to sign out and sign back in for the changes to take full effect.
Additional Tips:
- If you are using multiple monitors, ensure that each monitor's scaling is set appropriately.
- If you encounter any issues with the scaling, you can always revert to the recommended settings by selecting Recommended from the drop-down menu.
