Steps to Change Display Scaling

Open Display Settings:

  1. Hit the Windows key on your keyboard or click on the search bar on the bottom left by your Windows logo.
  2. Type Display settings and select it from the menu that appears.

 

 

Check Laptop Scaling:

  1. In the Display settings window, you will see a diagram showing your monitors.
  2. Click on your laptop screen to select it.
  3. Scroll down to the Scale and layout section.
  4. Look for the option that says Change the size of text, apps, and other items.
  5. Note the scaling percentage (e.g., 150%).

 

 

 

Select Other Monitors: Please note all monitors scaling must be adjusted!

  1. Click on the external monitor you want to adjust the scaling for.
  2. Scroll down to the Scale and layout section.
  3. Look for the option that says Change the size of text, apps, and other items.
  4. Click on the drop-down menu and select the same scaling percentage as your laptop (e.g., 150%). If 150% is not listed, you can click on Advanced scaling settings(> next to the box) and enter a custom scaling size.

Apply the Changes:

  1. The changes should apply automatically, but you might need to sign out and sign back in for the changes to take full effect.

Additional Tips:

  • If you are using multiple monitors, ensure that each monitor's scaling is set appropriately.
  • If you encounter any issues with the scaling, you can always revert to the recommended settings by selecting Recommended from the drop-down menu.
